Who is Base For?

Base is for those in a chapter of life where the old structures have shifted. The kids have moved out, or the company has been sold, or the new city doesn't yet feel like home, or retirement arrived faster than expected. Our members are accomplished, curious, and ready for what comes next. They read, they travel, they have opinions worth hearing. They're not looking for networking in the transactional sense. They're looking for people worth knowing.

What HAppens At Base

Every month, our team builds a curated calendar of events hosted at partner venues across your city. You'll be matched to the ones that fit who you are and what you're drawn to. Expect vibrant socials, intimate conversations, and experiences that help you see your city in a new light.

Who are the Members?

Accomplished people from all walks of life, primarily between 35 and 70. They're some of the world's genuine lifelong learners: people who read deeply, think carefully, and want social experiences with more substance than a room of strangers at a cocktail party.

What if I'm new to the city, newly retired, or starting over?

Then you're exactly who we built this for.

A surprising number of our members joined during a transition: a move, a career shift, an empty house, a new phase. Walking in not knowing anyone isn't the exception here, it's closer to the rule. We make introductions on purpose, and the club is designed so that showing up alone on a Tuesday evening feels natural rather than awkward.

What do Base Events Look LIke?

Two main types: Circles and Experiences.

Circles are intimate gatherings of eight, designed for deeper conversation about ideas, life, and the things you're passionate about.

Experiences are larger and more varied: vibrant socials, art tours, expert-led learning, and one-off events you won't find anywhere else. Always in rare company.

How Do I join?

Submit an application. Our team will review whether it's a good fit to join right now. One note: Base works to keep each city balanced across backgrounds and archetypes, so if you don't hear back immediately, it may be because your archetype is currently well-represented in your city's membership.
