Base Travel
These terms apply to every Base Travel booking. They are different from the policies that cover Circles, Experiences, and Socials, because travel is reserved and paid for months in advance. Please read them before you book.
Base Travel bookings cannot be cancelled, changed, or transferred, and are not refundable. This includes no-shows, schedule conflicts, illness, and any other personal circumstance. When you book, we commit your spot and your payment to venues, lodging, and travel partners on your behalf, and those commitments cannot be unwound.
If Base or the travel operator cancels the trip, or fails to provide the travel services you paid for, you will receive a full refund of everything you paid. Nothing in these terms limits any refund right you have under the law of your state.
The full price of the trip is charged at the time of booking, to the payment method on your membership. Your booking is confirmed when the charge succeeds. Seats are limited and are held only by a completed booking.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and interruption. Insurance is the only way to recover your payment if you cannot travel. Policies are inexpensive relative to the cost of a trip, and widely available.
For Base Travel bookings, these terms replace the standard cancellation policy shown in the Base app. Where a specific trip has additional terms from a travel operator or supplier, we will present them to you before or at booking. Your membership agreement and the Base privacy policy continue to apply.
By booking a Base Travel trip, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, including the no-cancellation and no-refund policy in Section 1.
